The “Deutsche Veterinärmedizinische Gesellschaft” (German Veterinary Medical Society – DVG e.V.) is the scientific society of veterinary medicine. The committee “disinfection in veterinary medicine” of the DVG releases lists of disinfectants which have been tested according to the guidelines of the DVG and have been found to be effective. Veterinarians / inside from academia, practice, industry, government, ministries and research institutes can be found in 38 sections, and in special working groups / committees under the umbrella of DVG together.Found in 1951, the DVG is the oldest organization of veterinary medicine in Germany. The DVG manages several foundations and gives research awards to outstanding scientists.
