The rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 is a one-step immunochromatographic in vitro test.
It is designed for the rapid qualitative determination of the antigen of the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in a swab from the front of the nasal cavity (at least 2.5 cm deep from the edge of the nostril) in persons with suspected COVID-19 within the first seven days after symptoms.
The test is intended for private use or self-testing.
The rapid SARS-CoV-2 antigen test should not be used as the sole basis for diagnosing or ruling out infection with the new SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
