    CLARAMAT Dishwasher Salt is formulated to soften water in hard water areas, this helps to increase the longevity of your dishwasher by breaking down limescale and rust build ups. Claramat dishwasher salt leaves no residues and it safe to use in both domestic and industrial dishwashers.

    A regular problem in hard water areas is streaks on washed plates glasses dishes etc. even in the laundry towels, clothes and sheets come out stiff, when we shower hard water can leave our hair dull and lifeless. This is caused by hardness agents in the water, from both overproduction of calcium and magnesium. This produces disturbing scale residues that damage not just what you are trying to clean but all electrical appliances. 

    Water softening plants use ion exchangers as a simple and reliable solution. Ion exchangers remove the hardness out of the water by replacing it with sodium ions, and the sodium ions contained in the salt for water softening replace the sodium ions in the ion exchangers. The result being softer water. 


    But for the rest of us mere mortals, the utilisation of salt for water softening is beneficial in several ways. Soft water not only provides more comfort; it reduces energy requirements by reducing the consumption of washing detergent, thus saving time and money and getting the job done right first time.
